Marvel Rivals Hidden Easter Eggs and Secret Locations You Probably Missed

2026-06-09·Secrets

I've got about 200 hours in Marvel Rivals now and I still find new stuff every week. The NetEase team clearly had way too much fun building these maps, because the amount of hidden detail is honestly ridiculous. I'm pretty sure there are things I still haven't noticed after all this time, and that's kind of impressive for a free to play game.

Take the Stan Lee cameos. Every single map has one, and I don't mean an obvious tribute statue. On Tokyo 2099, he's a reflection in a coffee shop window that only appears for about 2 seconds when the match timer hits 3:00. Missed it? Too bad, wait for the next match. On Klyntar, he's etched into a symbiote tendril that pulses every few minutes. Finding all 8 gives you the 'Excelsior!' achievement and a commemorative spray that honestly looks better than half the paid cosmetics. My friend found six of them before I even knew they existed, so I guess some people are more observant than me.

I spent an entire afternoon hunting the Asgard one specifically. It's in the Bifrost bridge constellation pattern. Not kidding. The stars on the bridge display actual night sky positions for whatever date it is in real life, and Stan's face is hidden in the constellation arrangement. You need to stand at a specific angle near the left pillar to see it. Took me like 40 minutes to find the right spot and then I immediately got shot by an enemy Hawkeye who was probably wondering why I was staring at the ceiling.

Map by Map Breakdown

The Tokyo 2099 map has holographic billboards cycling through ads for Stark Industries, Roxxon, and the Daily Bugle. But if you look at Spider-Man's apartment window from the attacker spawn room, a silhouette swings past at exactly 3:00 on the match clock. I've tested this about 20 times and it's 100% consistent. There's also a Peter Parker cameo as a pedestrian near the spawn area on certain rounds, but tbh that one seems random. I've seen it maybe 3 times total.

Wakandan Embassy might be my favorite. There are vibranium deposits embedded in the walls that light up when Magneto or Storm get within 10 meters. Makes sense, right? Magneto manipulates metal, Storm is literally a weather goddess worshipped in Wakanda. The throne room also has a Black Panther suit on display, and if the attacking team holds the point for 2 full minutes, the suit straight up disappears. I thought it was a bug the first time. Turns out it's a stolen suit easter egg. The level of detail these devs put into environmental storytelling is kind of insane for a competitive shooter.

Asgard has this amazing detail with Loki's statue in the main hall. Every time a Loki player on either team uses their ultimate, the statue's facial expression changes slightly. The more deceptive the Loki play, the more pronounced the smirk becomes. I don't know exactly how the game calculates deceptive but I've seen that statue basically laughing at me after a particularly nasty backstab. There's also a thing where if both teams have a Loki and they ult at the same time, the statue does something different. I've only seen it once and I'm still not sure what happened.

The Klyntar map is the symbiote homeworld and the environmental storytelling here is top notch. The tendrils on the walls physically reach toward Venom when he walks past. During Halloween events, the entire map gets reskinned with orange and black tones and the symbiote clusters turn into jack-o-lantern shapes. It sounds goofy but it actually looks creepy in motion. The first Halloween event completely caught me off guard. I loaded into Klyntar expecting the normal purple and black aesthetic and instead got pumpkin symbiotes and I just sat there laughing for a solid minute.

Knowhere, the Celestial head floating in space, has the Celestial's eye blinking at random intervals roughly every 7 minutes. I only noticed because I was dead and spectating for way too long. The Collector's vault in the background is loaded with items from other Marvel games. You can spot Infinity Stones, Mjolnir, and Cap's shield. Pure fan service. There's probably more references in that vault that I'm forgetting, but the Infinity Stones are the most obvious.

Hero Interactions You Might Miss

Certain hero pairings trigger extended banter that changes as the match goes on. Spider-Man and Iron Man are the obvious one. Tony gives Peter suit upgrade advice and Peter awkwardly calls him Mr. Stark no matter how many times Tony tells him to stop. Thor and Loki have this exchange where Thor says "Brother, we fight together!" and Loki responds "Don't make it weird." Gets me every time.

Rocket and Groot are exactly what you'd expect. Rocket complains constantly, Groot says "I am Groot," and Rocket translates. Wolverine and Hulk trade brawl references. Storm and Black Panther have surprisingly respectful diplomatic dialogue about Wakanda. Star-Lord and Mantis debate who's the better dancer, which is the most Star-Lord thing possible. Honestly there are probably more pairings with unique dialogue that the community hasn't fully documented yet. The game launched with 33 heroes and they all interact differently.

These interactions don't affect gameplay at all. Pure cosmetic. But they do signal to your teammates that you have synergy heroes on the field, which is useful if people are paying attention. Kind of like the game is telling you "hey, these two work together, just so you know."

Cosmetics Worth Grinding For

The Stan Lee spray is the most well known hidden cosmetic, but there are others. Gold Star-Lord Helmet requires 100 competitive wins as Star-Lord. I'm at 67 and questioning my life choices. The I Am Groot title just takes 50 Groot matches which is honestly pretty chill if you enjoy tanking. Symbiote Spider-Man was from the Halloween 2025 event. If you missed it, it might come back during an anniversary event. Or it might not. That's the gamble with seasonal stuff.

Cosmic Hela skin unlocks at Diamond rank in any season. Not impossible but you'll need to grind. Jeff's Pool Party skin was summer event exclusive and it's probably the funniest skin in the game. Something about a shark in swim trunks swallowing your whole team just hits different. There are also a handful of achievements that unlock sprays and titles, like the Pacifist Jeff one where you win a match without dealing damage. I tried that three times and my teammates reported me twice.

Past seasonal items are hit or miss. Some come back for anniversaries, others are gone forever once their season wraps. NetEase hasn't been super clear about which is which, so if you see a seasonal event cosmetic you want, grab it. Don't assume it'll return. I learned that lesson the hard way with a Winter event skin that I figured I'd buy later. Still waiting for it to come back.

Oh, and the community wiki has photo guides for all Stan Lee locations organized by map. Much easier than hunting blind like I did. There's also a Discord server where people share new discoveries as they find them, which is how I learned about half the things in this guide.
